Agents found drugs hiding all over the car.

Tired of waiting for politicians like Paul Ryan to protect the United States, border patrol agents are stepping up their game and getting the job done themselves. Over the weekend Customs and Border Protection officers scored a huge win and at the same time recovered 13 reasons for President Trump’s border wall.

Agents at the border between California and Mexico found more than 700 pounds of drugs attempting to be smuggled in from Mexico. Hidden in places like car roofs, trunks, spare tires, and floors, the narcotics have a street value of about $3 million dollars.

From Friday until Sunday, officers seized 208 pounds of meth, 149 pounds of cocaine, 23 pounds of heroin, and 347 pounds of marijuana. Surprisingly, the massive bust may be overshadowed by the other occurrence in the same time period.

This should be a message to Paul Ryan, if he won’t keep the streets safe then these agents will.

Border agents also arrested a total of 13 fugitives with outstanding warrants. Among the felony charges that produced those warrants are larceny, burglary, stolen vehicle, and assault. This is the latest of accomplishments of border patrol agents to keep drugs off the streets of our country.

In January of this year, two seizures at the border in Arizona resulted in a total of 118 pounds of meth and 8 pounds of cocaine confiscated. The combined street value was almost $1.7 million.

April in Arizona brought another massive bust. Agents caught several smugglers with 412 pounds of meth, heroin, and cocaine; a value of almost $1 million.

Peter Flores, the director of field operations for CBP in San Diego praised his officer’s efforts;

“CBP officers combat drug trafficking and encounter fugitives on a daily basis, this weekend is a snapshot. Drugs sold in the U.S. fuels more violence and this weekend we kept $3 Million dollars out of the hands of the drug trafficking organizations.”
