The mainstream media (MSM) is at it again. This time, they’ve gone international and interspecies. Picture this if you will–news people sitting up late at night, bleary-eyed and looking for any little tidbit they can get their grubby little hands on—all in an effort to perpetuate the smear campaign against Trump.
The sordid tale began by saying that President Trump had committed a grievous error related to a goldfish pond on the Tokyo palace grounds.
In Japan, it is a tradition for visitors to the Akasaka Palace to join their host (Prime Minister, in Trump’s case) to feed the koi. Even something as benign as feeding fish sparked a fake feeding frenzy by the MSM. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
Apparently, the fish are only supposed to be fed a spoonful, according to official koi protocol. However, both Trump and Abe dumped the entire box of food into the pond. They were likely impatient and needed to get on with discussions about—oh, let’s say North Korea! The key is that both leaders fed the fish in the exact same way. In fact, Abe dumped first.
But here is what happened next. The MSM only reported on Trump’s box dump, not Abe’s.even cropped Abe out just to show Trump only committing the grievous faux paus. They edited video the same way. Egads!
MSM journalists began tweeting around the globe about how heinous Trump is to fish around the globe. Former Hillary campaign director Brian Fallon even Tweeted a photo comparing Obama’s gracefully elegant fish feeding to Trump’s knee-jerk box dumping.
says (and we agree, and the fish agree–they can be seen caucusing in the photo below) that it is amazing how quickly this fake report perpetuated through the cycle. None of the media reporting on it were actually even at the Palace. Therefore it all had to be based on still images from the wire. And that means journalists deliberately doctored the photos and made the decision to do more Trump bashing.
Red State describes the story as “sleazy and dishonest” and they’re right. The story was quickly discredited. Thanks to Fox, we can see theshowing what really happened. A couple of journalists even revoked their Tweets; conscience bother you much?
Trump is very vocal about his battle with the MSM. So is his press secretary Sarah Sanders.
Perhaps the craziest fake story was one perpetuated by the MSM earlier this year stating Trump was lazy. Trump is many things, but being lazy is not one of them. He has incredible energy. Everyone who has ever worked for him has said so. Everyone who works for him now says so too. Presidents don’t get sick days and they don’t take time off. It is truly a 24/7 job—365 days a year.
Like Obama, Trump is ridiculed for playing golf, but even moreso because he usually plays in one of his posh resorts.
Newsweek had a cover photo of Trump in a recliner. He was watching TV and eating Cheetos. The title said, “LAZY BOY. is bored and tired. Imagine how bad he’d feel if he did any work.” Really Newsweek? Their headline? “Trump: America’s Boy King: Golf and Television Won’t Make America Great Again.” It is definitely a new low in journalism.
The detailed Newsweek story said that Trump just stews all the time. He was compared with the sitcom character Al Bundy from Married With Children. Bundy always complained of his boring job and terrible kids, and groused about America going down the toilet. He dreamed of his glory days as a high school sports star. Hardly a comparison to the actual Trump but Newsweek just couldn’t resist.
The biggest travesty is that no one asked the fish. Actually, the fish are very happy. They’re not being “koi” about the fact that it took President Trump to make their pond great again.
