South African Hunter Shoots Elephant then is Crushed to Death When It Fell On Him

christian dating news

Something quite unexpected has happened in recent times. A professional big game hunter from Tzaneen, Theunis Botha died at age 51.

This happened on Friday afternoon during a hunt in Gwai, Zimbabwe. A member of his group fired at a storming elephant and the animal fell on him. He did not live through this as mentioned above. According to an anonymous source that spoke with Netwerk24 the group of hunters had gone for a walk on Friday afternoon and suddenly came across a breeding herd of elephants.

Three of those elephants stormed the hunters and Botha shot at them. The fourth cow to storm towards them is the one that took Botha’s life as a fellow hunter and member of the group delivered a fatal shot causing the elephant to collapse. Botha was a well-known hunter and often traveled to the US to recruit wealthy Americans for trophy hunting in Southern Africa.

Botha was a specialist when it came to hunting leopards and lions. According to The Telegraph, he was quite fond of using game hounds for this. His friends and family are heartbroken over this and those who oppose big game hunting are offering little sympathy following his passing. To be honest, I think this is Karma at its finest.

Truthfully though, whether you think he deserved to live or not being squashed by an elephant is quite an interesting and terrifying way to go. What do you think about this; was he the “legend” people are making him out to be or should people be crying over the poor elephant instead? I vote for the latter, what about you?
