Trump Is Getting Help From The Police!

President has had a busy couple weeks in office. He has signed a number of executive orders that have affected immigration, the wall, and sanctuary cities. In other words, he isn’t letting up on his campaign promises to stop the immigration problem that the country is having.

Needless to say, the liberal media and liberals themselves have been outraged by the orders. They have been talking about it nonstop, and even protesting the orders that were given. That’s what liberals do nowadays. If they don’t like something, they’re going to protest it.

However there was an order that these liberals have missed. Granted most of the attention has been on Trump’s orders to build the wall and cracking down on sanctuary cities, there was an old program that Trump revived that had been nearly put out of commission by the Obama administration.

The program in question allows the Department of Homeland Security to “deputize” local law enforcement agents and officers to help in enforcing federal immigration laws. This means that the local police force will be helping crack down on illegal immigration to help out the federal government.

The duties that they will be performing include checking an individual’s immigration status through the course of routine contact, including if they’ve been arrested or jailed in connection with any sort of crime. Considering that there are a lot of illegals in the country and so few immigration officials, they will need all the help they can get.

Back in 2009, the program had over 60 various police departments and sheriff’s offices enrolled. However, President Barack Obama’s administration rolled it back and severely limited the program. It was so severe that roughly half of the participants dropped out while the rest were left to simply check their local jails for violent violators of immigration laws.

Obama Strictly Limited This Program Back In 2009

The most famous participant in the program was former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona. He was repeatedly harassed and sued for simply taking part in the program.

You can bet that civil rights groups and immigration advocates have decried the program. They have stated that they think it will lead to an increase in racial profiling or the rights of immigrants being violated, exactly what they accused Arpaio of doing.

Except other groups, like the Center for Immigration Studies, were happy about the return of the “great program” that at its peak accounted for almost 20 percent of criminal deportations by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, as reported by The Washington Post.

The Post also reported that Trump revived the Secure Communities program. It was a program that was started and stopped underneath Obama that checked the fingerprints of everyone taken into custody by law enforcement across the United States against a federal database of immigration records.

In other words, it was used to quickly identify those individuals who needed to be handed over to the federal government for deportation. Several local law enforcement agencies have already jumped at the change to enlist the services of their officers in helping immigration agents. This includes the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Texas.

This Program Will Surely Help The Border Patrol

Jackson County Sheriff A.J. “Andy” Louderback estimated that it would be about $3,000 to train a few of his deputies to take part in the program. However he wasn’t worried about the cost, as he thinks it will be money well spent.

“It just seems like good law enforcement to partner with federal law enforcement in this area. It takes all of us to do this job,” said Louderback. He’s not wrong, considering that there are estimated to be millions and millions of illegals that are here in the United States.

This program is also a good counter to those cities that claim to be sanctuary cities for illegal immigrants in violation of federal laws. The more police stations and sheriff offices that join, the better chance that the United States has to get rid of all the illegal criminals in the country.

The revival of these two programs is sure to help out the country more than President Obama ever did. Considering that he was the one that stopped the programs in the first place, it was clear he wanted to help them more than his own citizens.

These Programs Will Help America More Than Obama Did

Seriously Obama was someone that did everything he could to hurt the country. He was the person that released a Guantanamo Bay terrorist because he was “quite pleasant.” Never mind the fact that he was in Gitmo for a reason, just releasing someone because you claim they are “quite pleasant” is a horrible idea!

However Obama was full of horrible ideas. His border patrol chief was someone that was in favor of illegal immigrants. That changed quickly, as the Trump administration fired the border patrol chief. It was something that was bound to happen considering we need change in this country.

Share this article with your friends and family to show that Trump revived two programs that are going to help with the fight against illegal immigration. Considering that there are so many illegals in the country and some cities are going to do what they can to shield them, Trump will need all the help he can get.
