In a water tank full of exotic creatures, a stingray decided to turn an unfortunate squid into its midday lunch.

And the doomed squid couldn’t do much about it.

The best parts are the blasts of ink the squid released in a futile defense mechanism against the rapacious predator. The squid never really had a chance to keep itself from being eaten alive, but it never stopped trying.

Meanwhile, the stingray was just living its life the way God intended – and if that meant making a meal out of one of its aquarium mates … well, that’s what stingrays do.

The aquarium visitors might have thought they were going to be treated to some nice, placid scenes of brilliantly colored fish swimming peacefully with each other in a man-made environment.

Instead, they got a view of nature in its ruthless glory. It might not have been what they expected, but it was a learning experience all the same.
