The Heat continue to shock the basketball world, this time by stealing Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals with a 123-116 win over the Celtics.
"Playoff Jimmy" Butler made an appearance at TD Garden on Wednesday, finishing with 35 points on 12-of-25 shooting to go along with seven assists, six steals, and five rebounds. Bam Adebayo added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists while four other members of the Heat added 15 points.
For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum led the way with 30 points but shot just 2 of 4 from the field in the second half. Marcus Smart dished a game-high 11 assists to go along with 13 points.
The game turned in the third quarter, when Miami outscored Boston 46-25 to take a 12-point lead into the final frame. Despite comeback attempts from the Celtics, the Heat held on for a crucial road win to open the series.

10:31 p.m. — White connects on another three-pointer, but Adebayo sinks a floater at the other end to make it 110-103, Miami. The clock is now working against Boston as it ticks under seven minutes remaining.
10:29 p.m. — Gabe Vincent swishes a triple to extend the lead back to eight, but Brown answers with a tough layup at the other end. Guess that left wrist is OK.
10:26 p.m. — A very worrying sight for Celtics fans as Brown cries out in pain after a loose ball scrum. He appeared to be holding his left wrist or elbow. However, he will stay in the game for now. In other injury news, Marcus Smart headed down the tunnel during the third quarter and there has been no sign of him since. Bad news for Boston.
10:22 p.m. — Now it's the Celtics' turn to make a run! A Derrick White three is followed by by buckets from Malcolm Brogdon and Jaylen Brown, and the lead is down to just five points.
