Is Anthony Davis playing tonight? Latest news, injury updates on Lakers star's status for Game 6 vs. Warriors
Anthony Davis gave Lakers fans a major scare Wednesday when he exited Game 5 after taking a shot to the head from Warriors center Kevon Looney.
Davis was wobbly after the swipe and had to be taken to the locker room in a wheelchair. With the caution surrounding head injuries and just one off day between Game 5 and Game 6, the injury quickly prompted chatter about his status for the Lakers' final home game of the series.
The Lakers are 3-0 in the series when Davis has a double-double and 0-2 when he doesn't, so his availability will be critical to whether Los Angeles can close out the reigning champions at home on Friday.

Is Anthony Davis playing tonight?
According to the Lakers official Twitter account, Anthony Davis is going to play and will start in Game 6 at home against the Warriors.

The Lakers officially listed Davis as probable on Friday morning, the same designation as LeBron James, and listed Davis only with a "right foot stress injury."
Davis' wheelchair exit seemed to have been precautionary. Replay showed Looney's arm hit Davis more along the side of the face rather than it being a direct shot to the forehead, which might have helped the eight-time All-Star avoid a serious injury that could have kept him out for the rest of this series.
Instead, Davis is slated to give it a go as the Lakers face pressure to close out the Warriors in Los Angeles and avoid sending the series back to San Francisco for a Game 7.
