Eagles schedule 2023: Dates & times for all 17 games, strength of schedule, final record prediction
Everything you need to know about the Eagles' 2023 schedule

The Eagles may have to soar some turbulent skies in 2023.

Philadelphia made a somewhat surprising romp to the Super Bowl in 2022, posting the NFC's best record while the roster designed by Howie Roseman came together seamlessly.

This year, the Eagles won't catch anyone by surprise. The Eagles have the NFL's most difficult schedule based on opponents' 2022 winning percentage. That, coupled with the bullseye painted on their wings makes for a very difficult season ahead.

Still, they have the right personnel to do it. Jalen Hurts ascended to the top of the NFC as one of the conference's best passers in 2022, and his new contract should keep him plenty motivated this year and beyond. Roseman also bolstered the Eagles' defense, taking Georgia's Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

All that makes for a recipe for a repeat of 2023 — but the football gods have a tendency of laughing at your best-laid plans.

Eagles strength of schedule

If the Eagles want any hope of a second consecutive Super Bowl appearance, then they'll have a difficult path to walk to get there. Philadelphia enters the 2023 NFL season with the most difficult strength of schedule in the league, with opponents holding a .566 winning percentage last season.

Toughest tests: Five Super Bowl hopefuls make the trip to Lincoln Financial Field this year: The Cowboys, Bills, Dolphins, Vikings and 49ers are all in contention to represent their conference in Super Bowl 58. The Eagles will also make a trip out to Arrowhead Stadium in a rematch with the Chiefs.

Biggest breaks: Home cooking: Of their nine away games, five of them are in the Eastern time zone. The Eagles travel to play the Giants, Commanders, Patriots, Jets and Buccaneers, making for a bit of an easier travel schedule. They do play two west-coast games, against the Rams and the Seahawks.

Bottom line: The Eagles may have lost C.J. Gardner-Johnson this offseason, but they added just about everywhere else. They bolstered the defense with a couple of young studs, they added D'Andre Swift and Rashaad Penny to the backfield and kept the core of the team together. That all spells trouble for the rest of the NFC.

Record prediction: 13-4
